Hotel Baglioni is not simply a Hotel.

It is part of the history of Florence, of the daily life of locals.
“Oh, where do we meet then?”
“In front of the Baglioni Hotel”
It is now a reference point that we use instead of the name of the square in which it is located, Piazza dell’Unità.
Hotel Baglioni is very close to the Santa Maria Novella’s station and therefore to the Santa Maria Novella’s church, one of the symbols of Renaissance.

The Hotel Baglioni was founded at the beginning of 1900. The building was built one century earlier for Prince Carrega of Lucedio who then moved to Rome. He sold the palace to the Baglioni’s family and they made it a luxury hotel.

In the ’70s the building was sold to a private family. And today the hotel boasts 192 rooms, a bar, a congress center and a roof-garden from which you can enjoy, in addition to the excellent Florentine cuisine, a unique and incomparable view of the city.

The Hotel Baglioni has, over the years, hosted heads of state, intellectuals and artists.

The most difficult challenge for this hotel has certainly been to maintain the connotations of an ancient building and, at the same time, update itself and evolve becoming a structure made to offer maximum hospitality.

All the rooms have kept details that make the difference and that refer to the ancient Florentine tradition, for example the works with wood. In fact, both in the beds and on the coffered ceilings you will find these unique and classic details.

But surely the modern note is not lacking.

In fact on the top floor is the B-Roof divided into two areas.

An internal structure with various rooms and huge windows that allow you to enjoy a beautiful view 356 days a year. Where you can organize business dinners, birthday parties or important anniversaries.

And another exterior consisting of several terraces, which offer a different view of Florence. From May to early October on the outside terrace you can experience a fantastic aperitif with view! And on the 24th of June, the Florentine patron saint day, San Giovanni, a special evening is organized with themed dinner and the possibility to see the spectacular fireworks.

But that’s not all .. in fact, in the outdoor area, located on various levels, you can also reserve a secluded table for a super romantic dinner, or even part of the terrace for parties, birthdays and celebrations!

Hotel staff is always available and attentive to every need, to satisfy their customers as much as possible. The dishes served both as an aperitif or at dinners or events are at the highest levels and for all palates!

What can I say, I wait for you at the B-Roof to enjoy Florence from another perspective, with a glass of prosecco and some samples of Tuscan cuisine!
